About The Reviewers

Beth Negri
(also known as Beth Sherrard-Maurin)

I am a woman in her mid-twenties who has had a love of books all her life. This all started with my Mom, you see, she is an avid reader who strongly values education. When I was a baby she would always read to me, even when I was in her womb. When I grew old enough and wanted to read when she wasn't around she taught me how, even though this was a while before I started school. She taught me the love of reading and learning which is truly the best gift she ever gave me.

So, because of her here we are. I have started writing book reviews. I write book reviews because it gives me time to reflect on what I have read and in a way extends my time with the book. I feel that if it is a good book at the end of the book you are a little sad its over because you just love the characters and learning about them. Books, when written well, can be just the friend you are looking for because they give us a little escapism (into a new world) and a new understanding of life (through the characters trials).

Hope you enjoy my reviews and the books they are inspired by.

John Kompa
“A word is dead when it is said. Some say. I say it just begins to live that day.”
~ Emily Dickinson

Salutations, my name is John Kompa. Literature, and the arts, is insight into the human soul and experience with every piece saying a different piece of the grand mosaic. I have something to say about this mosaic, a lot of things actually.  I'm very excited to experience what others have to share through their works and words and I'm very willing to share what I can from my literary background. I have always wanted to be an author and a poet since early high school so I went off to a four year college and earned a bachelors in English Education.  I am a certified teacher of English in the state of New York.  This scares many people.

Currently, I am in my mid twenties and as I write this statement I am freaking out. I have always enjoyed reading since I was young and I have my parents to thank for that so without further ado, thank you mom and dad! My favorite children's book was about two mice that explored their owner's house getting into all kinds of mischief. It was made up of photographs of actual mice and an actual house. It's currently lost. I'm extremely sad.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my reviews they are my honest opinions about the literature we receive. To all the authors, I look forward to reading your works and to all the readers, I hope you enjoy!
